Hebrews

The letter to the Hebrews was written to a group of first century. Christians who were in danger of giving up. While some believers accepted growing persecution with joy, many others were wavering in their faith in Christ. Because the readers of Hebrews had suffered for Christ and were tempted to give up their faith, the author's mission was to put strength in their spines, giving them a passionate but tightly reasoned argument for remaining committed to Christ. If you find yourself struggling in your faith, let the writer of Hebrews strengthen your resolve by articulating the supremacy of Christ!

Annie Hickman is teaching Hebrews in the North classroom of the church.

Faith Connection Bible Study

Dale Bauer will be teaching an Adult class that will meet in the CLC - Classroom #1. This Class is using the Faith Connection Bible Study.

Faith Connections Bible Study is a Bible study exposition written by pastors, leaders, and scholars to help group members go deeper in God's Word during and after the lesson. Each week, group members will gain a greater understanding of the focus passage, as well as have the opportunity to answer reflective questions to help them take time to consider the message of that week's session.

During this quarter we will explore the message of the book of Hebrews and discover what it means to be the church.

Unit 1: Hebrews

The book of Hebrews gives a strong case for faith in Christ; yet its words are often thought of as being too difficult to comprehend. During this study, we will gain a clearer understanding of the powerful message of this book of the Bible.

Unit 2: What Is the Church?

We gather each Sunday morning, read the Bible, sing songs, and hear a sermon from our pastor—often giving little thought as to why we do what we do. This unit explores the importance of the church, its practices, and its ministry in the world.
